PhD research at ASE

Currently about 30 Ph.D. students work on their research at ASE. Topics vary from financial econometrics to entrepreneurship and innovation.

The main route to becoming a PhD. student at ASE is to follow the intensive two-year Master of Philosophy in Economics at the Tinbergen Institute (TI). The aim of this excellent master's programme in economics, econometrics and finance is to prepare students for further academic research.

In the second year of the Mphil students are usually matched with a supervisor on the basis of their research interests. Students who choose a professor from ASE have the opportunity to apply for a PhD position here.
